Our Canopy Tour goes out every morning at 9 a.m. Our driver picks you up at your hotel either in Flores or Tikal & will take you to Tikal Park's entrance gate. At the Tikal Canopy Tour you will be able to view jungle life from a bird's eye perspective and enjoy soaring from tree to tree. This tour through the forest treetops offers you an exciting experience high above the forest floor.
Your may inquire about our expert guides to assist and explain what is going on in this habitat all around you & leave our ordinary ground level to become more connected to nature & to your own true origins. Once you descend back down on the forest floor you may return to your hotel or proceed to your next destination.
We offer you top quality and safe equipment, and our regular local guides, all included in your tour for only US$ 25 per person. Professional naturalist guides &/or transportation are depending on the number of participants & schedules and not included in this price. Please let us know if we may be of assistance. We recommend booking this tour ahead of time.
There are 2 different rides you can go on, each about 1 kilometer long:
The first one includes 11 platforms and still zip lines of 75, 100 and 150 meters long, at an altitude of 25 meters above the forest floor!
The second one is called the Adrenalin Rush & includes 7 zip lines, 2 of which ar 200 meters long... It's fast, fun & quick & not for everyone, although it's very safe... It's 40 meters above the ground... We may discuss this further if you like.

Notes on safety: the number of accidents in the Tikal Canopy Tour after 6 years of operation is ZERO. The equipment used is Petzl (French made) harnesses, pulleys, clips, etc. and other safe & professional brands. The Canopy Tour was built by the same people who built the Rincon de la Vieja Canopy Tour in Costa Rica and sold to its Guatemalan owners, both have a perfectly clean record. You should have your own insurance, however, but there won’t be any accidents. The guides are well trained and take every safety precaution very seriously! The only IF is if you are too heavy and don’t fit comfortably in the harnesses you will stay grounded, this the guides will decide upon. This hasn’t happened before because even slightly overweight people fit comfortably in the harnesses.
You may also get an earlier start and go on an optional bird watching tour with a professional guide. (You will have a packed breakfasts for this tour). There are 410 bird species in the Tikal National Park.
