Tikal is the largest excavated site in the American continent. It is Guatemala's most famous cultural and natural preserve. Tikal possesses a certain magic... Like all puzzles without answers it fascinates everyone and we dare say... Tikal is so irresistible once you are here, you'll find yourself wanting to stay just a little longer!

This majestic archaeological gem comprises 222 square miles of jungle all around the ceremonial center. It took the University of Pennsylvania 13 years to uncover about 10 square miles of structures at Tikal. However, much of it is still left to be unearthed. So, do take some advice... Don't try to see all of Tikal in one day, even if you are in excellent shape!.

All of G AIRWAYS flights from Guatemala City to Flores and from Flores to Cancun are operated using ATR 72-600 last generation planes, a twin- turboprop short-haul regional airliner built in France and Italy by ATR. It takes up to 72 passengers in a single-class configuration and is operated by a two-pilot crew. ATR 72-600 features various improvements to increase efficiency, dispatch reliability, lower fuel burn and operating costs.

The airport departure taxes departing from Guatemala City's La Aurora International Airport are included but you will need to pay a US$ 3 per person airport departure tax leaving from the Mundo Maya International Airport in Flores.

Weight limit is 50 lbs or 22 kgs for one piece of checked luggage and 20 lbs or 9 kgs for a single carry-on per person. Your luggage's dimensions are also important. The maximum length allowance is 62 inches for checked luggage or 45 inches for carry-on pieces. For any piece of luggage that exceeds these dimensions (for example from 85 to 90 inches long) special discounted surcharges apply. Additional payments for extra luggage may apply but since our destinations in Flores in Peten in northern Guatemala, Guatemala City and Cancun, Mexico are sports' destinations as well people with diving equipment, fishing gear and bycicles may count on our special discounts.
